TeraGreen is expected to reduce the power consumption by a factor of at least 1000 in terms of energy per bit, while increasing the aggregated data rates by a factor of at least 10.\nAn important part of the TeraGreen project is the research and development of state-of-the-art transmitter and receiver architectures in the H-band, 220-325 GHz, utilizing a very high spectral RF bandwidth. Infineon'\u2019s latest 90nm SiGe-BiCMOS process is used for this purpose, the available transistors are SiGe-HBTs with a maximum oscillation frequency fmax exceeding 500GHz. With the first tapeout in the SiGe BiCMOS-process B12HFC we have built the foundation for the design of antenna integrated receivers and transmitters working in the H-band (220-325 GHz) by designing the main building blocks for the receivers and the transmitters, comprising low noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, up- and down-converting mixers, frequency multipliers for the LO-chain, and baseband amplifiers.","references":"TeraGreen Deliverable 3.2: Report on Simulation and Characterization Results on Generic Circuits","category":"CAT-1: Significant Technology Development","sub_categories":"High-frequency Technologies;Hardware;Micro-Electronics \/ Photonics;","call":"Call 2"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wp.eurestools.eu\/de\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/key_achievement\/27879","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wp.eurestools.eu\/de\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/key_achievement"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wp.eurestools.eu\/de\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/key_achievement"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wp.eurestools.eu\/de\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=27879"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
